We started children's activities again on August 25th at 4:30 p.m. It is never too late to join us. We will continue weekly on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.
I have several things on the calendar for September:
1) The children begin the Read to Feed program on September 1st. They will get sponsors and read books for donations to be used for the benefit of the Heifer International Organization. They provide needy families around the world with farm animals so they can be self-sustaining.
2) There will be a bake sale September 22nd after dinner for the benefit of our "Backpack Ministry" and for Christian Care ministry. We will accept non-perishable food items, school supplies, or, of course, cash donations in exchange for the homemade goodies.
3) We will be going to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo in Gulf Shores September 18th. Please let me know if you are going to attend by September 1st. All friends and parents are welcome. If 13 or more attend, the admission price is $5 a person.
I'm excited to carry on the Bible School theme of "the hands and feet of Jesus" as we meet this year.
